First; I assume you know your own "_title_"on this forum "Village Elder"which apparently has now been altered into "Watcher"(don't ask me why )I'm being called "New Member". Second: Mr. McGoohan has a (well known) reputation of being a terrible control freak and of only entering a conversation when something serious can be said, so no aimless chit-chat there,of hating interviews and of almost being a recluse.Add to this that ageing generally enhances those qualities, one can figure out that mr. McGoohan is not going to be very comppliant when approached for any cooperation on a remake. I'm not claiming that this is the case concerning his own relatives, but to the general public it comes across as such. ( of him not being very 'public friendly'.I hope I'm wrong.

You know, I never even noticed my "_title_". It just has to do with the number of posts I've made, nothing more. The only thing I watch for is new and interesting posts from other Prisoner/McGoohan fans like myself.

It's a funny thing about being a celebrity who has also lived a long life, as Mr. McGoohan has. Here is a man who has been active and in the public eye for over 50 years now and has given interviews, been quoted and misquoted, spied on, reported on, etc. And everything that's written is frozen on the page and circulated endlessly all over the world throughout the passing years.

Yet here, too, is a man who is a human being, who grows, changes, and develops throughout the course of his life. But do the reports change? No, they are around forever, for all to see and dissect.

What his interest in the re-make is and what AMC's interest in his approval is, are anybody's guess at this point. We'll just have to wait and see.
